Veremark announces £6 million secondary transaction on London Stock Exchange
Official press release
Veremark prepares for £6 million secondary transaction on London Stock Exchange
UK company becomes third ever to select PISCES market for share sale as it eyes next stage of growth
London, UK, 7 October: Veremark, the global workplace trust company, has announced it is preparing for an employee and early investor secondary share sale, worth approximately £6 million on the London Stock Exchange’s (LSE) Private Securities Market (PSM), valuing the company at over £100 million in enterprise value. Crowdcube, Europe’s leading private market liquidity platform, is managing the transaction.
This marks the third employee share sale on the LSE’s PSM. Veremark raised a $26m (£19.27m) Series B round earlier this year after a period of sustained growth, growing its revenue run rate by 300% in 2025. Since it was founded in 2019, the company now employs more than 300 people, has seven offices worldwide, including the UAE, New Zealand and the Philippines, and works with more than 8,000 clients globally. Veremark’s clients include major industry players worldwide, e.g., OVO Energy and Schneider Electric.
As the workforce becomes increasingly remote, with shorter tenures, and the use of AI to present false data or profiles and capabilities grows, businesses are finding it harder than ever to verify candidate information and confirm identity. Veremark's technology instantly implements global background screening at scale during the hiring process and on an ongoing basis, regardless of employee location. Employers who use Veremark benefit from a compliant and de-risked hiring process while protecting company culture.
The LSE’s PSM was established using PISCES (Private Intermittent Securities and Capital Exchange System) regulation to allow later-stage private businesses to realise liquidity for early-stage investors, employees, or both through secondary share transactions using LSE rails.
Crowdcube acts as a Registered Auction Agent for the PSM, facilitating both the buy and sell sides of deals. As part of the Veremark transaction, Crowdcube will also offer an equity sale directly to retail investors via its platform. It recently acted as part of both the Wayve and Moneybox transactions.
Daniel Callaghan, CEO and co-founder of Veremark, said: “We have seen incredible growth at Veremark over the last few years, and this sale marks a key moment for our early employees and investors to reap the rewards of their work. After a successful Series B raise earlier this year, our ambitions to scale remain strong, and this sale sets us up for the next stage of growth. Through multiple acquisitions and team expansion, we continue to give customers greater confidence in who they bring into the business.”
Matt Cooper, Crowdcube’s co-CEO, said: ‘Crowdcube is now becoming the go-to agent for employee share transactions on the London Stock Exchange’s Private Securities Market, with Veremark taking the value of recent deals we’ve been involved in to over £110 million’
The employee share sale will open on September 22nd, with the auction taking place on October 7th. Equity will be available to retail investors on Crowdcube.com from September 22nd.

FAQs
This depends on the industry and type of role you are recruiting for. To determine whether you need reference checks, identity checks, bankruptcy checks, civil background checks, credit checks for employment or any of the other background checks we offer, chat to our team of dedicated account managers.
Many industries have compliance-related employment check requirements. And even if your industry doesn’t, remember that your staff have access to assets and data that must be protected. When you employ a new staff member you need to be certain that they have the best interests of your business at heart. Carrying out comprehensive background checking helps mitigate risk and ensures a safer hiring decision.
Again, this depends on the type of checks you need. Simple identity checks can be carried out in as little as a few hours but a worldwide criminal background check for instance might take several weeks. A simple pre-employment check package takes around a week. Our account managers are specialists and can provide detailed information into which checks you need and how long they will take.
All Veremark checks are carried out online and digitally. This eliminates the need to collect, store and manage paper documents and information making the process faster, more efficient and ensures complete safety of candidate data and documents.
In a competitive marketplace, making the right hiring decisions is key to the success of your company. Employment background checks enables you to understand more about your candidates before making crucial decisions which can have either beneficial or catastrophic effects on your business.
Background checks not only provide useful insights into a candidate’s work history, skills and education, but they can also offer richer detail into someone’s personality and character traits. This gives you a huge advantage when considering who to hire. Background checking also ensures that candidates are legally allowed to carry out certain roles, failed criminal and credit checks could prevent them from working with vulnerable people or in a financial function.
