Baseline Personnel Security Standard and supporting guidance describe the mandatory pre-employment vetting controls required for screening of civil servants, members of the armed forces, temporary staff, and government contractors.

BPSS - Now widely adopted by private sector

Today this ‘baseline’ standard is the most often used background screening standard not only for the public sector organisations, but also in the private sector companies, especially for roles where people have access to sensitive information, or access to other important company assets. Screening results will enable organisations to make an informed decision on employing an individual meeting BPSS Standard. The standard is set to help organisations address and prevent the problems of identity fraud, illegal working and malicious criminal activity. BPSS is also a requirement before companies can apply for any National Security Vetting (NSV) levels.

What happens after you place an order?

Once you have provided the contact details for your staff, we will email them and ask them to visit our secure portal to complete a quick form providing the necessary information to start the checks. The following details are required:
• Name and surname
• Date of birth
• Addresses for the last 5 years and the dates lived there
• National Insurance number
• Two ID documents (usually Passport and Driving licence)
• 3years of employment references

Once we receive all the results these will be emailed to you immediately, unless during the ordering process you specify that you prefer to download the results from our platform.
